올해 WSOP (월드 시리즈 포커)는 라이브로 열리기는 한다

2021년 월드시리즈 포커가 어떻게 될지 추측이 난무하는 가운데, 포커 트위터의 유명인인 케빈 매더스(Kevin Mathers)가 힌트를 주었다.  

WSOP는 꼭 개최될 것이고, 코로나 사태가 지금보다 더 악화되지만 않으면 된다.  그러나 보통 하던 것처럼 5월부터 7월까지는 아닐 것 같다. 

그래서 파이널테이블의 노벰버 나인이라는 포맷이 없어진 것도 몇년전이기는 하지만,  올해에는 4/4분기에나 가서야 메인 이벤트 챔피언이 나오는 것을 보게될 가능성이 아주 크다.

2021년 WSOP는 라이브로 한다.  라이브 WSOP의 일정은 보통처럼 5월말-7월 중순은 아니다.

The WSOP will happen in some form
Speculation is mounting about what a 2021 World Series of Poker will look like and we got some hints from poker Twitter legend Kevin Mathers. 

A WSOP is definitely happening assuming the COVID-19 situation does not get worse, but it looks certain not to have the usual timeframe of May to July. 

So even though the November Nine concept has been retired for several years now, it is feasible we could see a return to a Main Event champion being crowned in the final quarter of the year.
